This week marks the physical release of Hitman, one of the best games of 2016 – and one which has been somewhat overlooked due to its initial episodic release. If you haven’t yet dived into Agent 47’s latest world of assassination, it’s now very much time to take the plunge. Get hooked now and you won’t have to struggle to keep up when the second season kicks off.

Amiibo fans should check out Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, which is available bundled with a very cute knitted Poochy. While you’re at the shops, grab a copy of Abzu, one of last year’s indie darling now available on disc for PS4. No word yet on the expected Xbox One version, which had been slated for sometime this month.

In the digital sphere, everyone’s very excited for Double Dragon 4, coming to both PC and PS4 this week. Developed by the 2D action experts at Arc System Works, it’s the first all-new entry in the side scrolling beat-’em-up series in, oh, 22 years? (We don’t talk about the 1994 American effort, and apparently various enhanced ports like Super Double Dragon and Double Dragon Advance count. Wayforward’s 2012 reboot has been consigned to history, too.)

Also, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers. One VG247 staff member has attempted to call up sick in advance, but we’re not naming names.

Looking further ahead? Check out our full list of 2017 video game release dates. It’s gonna be a busy year.

As always, PlayStation Store release dates may vary depending on region.
