If you can’t get enough of PUBG’s lobby music, you can add it to your music collection and listen to it anytime you want.
Anyone who spent a few minutes with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be instantly familiar with its theme song. Before the game hit 1.0 on PC, the lobby used to have a different music track and look much worse.
When version 1.0 rolled around, we got to see much more pleasant UI, and a new original track. Turns out, developer PUBG Corp had previously been on the lookout for a composer to create an official theme, and it was done in time for launch.
Tom Salta, AKA Atlas Plug, is the composer behind the tune. Salta wrote music for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, LawBreakers, and Halo 2 Anniversary. He was personally picked by creator Brendan Greene.
And now, you can listen to the main theme, stream or buy it. It’s available on iTunes (including Apple Music), and on Spotify.
“We were looking for an orchestral electronic hybrid theme that would give players a huge build-up keeping them resolutely determined until the beginning of actual gameplay,” Bluehole audio director Haejin Lee said, via Gamespot.
