Although the Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event has been extended, there is not that much time left.
But that’s fine, because another Pokemon Go event has already kicked off, this time celebrating the Lunar New Year. The event is live now through February 17.
During the Lunar New Year event, you’ll receive increased Stardust for catching Poochyena, Growlithe, Snubbull, Eevee, or Electrike. This being the Year of the Dog and all, but I am sure you’ve already figured that out.
The Pokemon noted above will also show up more frequently during the event, so you’ll have an easier time raking in that Stardust.
Poochyena is also the latest Pokemon to get a shiny variant, along with Mightyena, which evolves from a Poochyena.
Feeling lucky? Starting today until February 17, Trainers who catch a Poochyena, Growlithe, Snubbull, Eevee, or Electrike will receive bonus Stardust. Happy #LunarNewYear! pic.twitter.com/FqaVsO65b3

If you missed it, Pokemon Go developer Niantic recently unlocked a few Gen 3 Pokemon. You’ll also be seeing a lot of Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza in Raid Battles until March 16.
