Legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal will be made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Ultra Sun and Moon players starting next week.
Information has surfaced on when players of either edition of Pokemon Sun and Moon can expect Xerneas and Yveltal from the Kalos region to be made available.
Both of the Legendary Pokemon will be distributed for 3DS systems May 4 – May 27, according to serebii.
In the US, Pokemon players will need to visit their local GameStop store to grab the code. Distribution information for Europe was unavailable as of press time. When we know more we’ll update this post. The code will most likely be made available via Nintendo Network, but we aren’t sure at this time.
Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon Sun players will be able add the Dark/Flying-type Yvelta to their game. Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon players will receive a code for the Fairy-type Xerneas. Stats for each Pokemon will be posted once more information is available.
How to get Xerneas or Yveltal for Pokemon Sun and Moon
- Open your Pokemon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Moon game.
- Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
- Select Receive Gift.
- Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, then Yes again to connect to the internet.
- Enter your code.
- Watch as you receive your Pokemon.
- Resume the game, make sure you have an empty space in your party, and speak to the delivery person in any Pokemon Center to receive your Pokemon.
- Be sure to save your game.
The next distribution will occur in June with Zygarde, the Dragon/Ground-type with three distinct forms from the Kalos and Alola regions.
US players have three more days to grab Legendary Pokemon Entei and Raikou for Sun and Moon before the next distribution hits. Both Pokemon will be unavailable come April 29 in the region.
Neither are available as of today in Europe.
In March, Legendary Pokemon Regigigas and Heatran were made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Nintendo distributed Legendary Dialga and Palkia in February, and there will be more legendaries handed out monthly through November 2018.
