Being a live service, you can expect Star Wars: Battlefront 2 content updates to be shaped by upcoming Star Wars films.
This includes Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opens in two weeks. EA has confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be getting content from the film as part of its Han Solo season.
Though it didn’t reveal an exact date, or really any details about what we can expect, EA did confirm that more details will be revealed next week.
Though we have little to go on, it’s probably safe to assume one or more of the locations will be featured in a map or two.
It’s also very possible the young Solo and young Chewbacca skins will be added to the game’s expanding collection, and we may even get a new hero or villain from the movie, though that is less likely.

When Rogue One released in 2016, the original Battlefront received a themed expansion that added Jyn Erso, and Orson Krennic as playable heroes, as well as a host of maps from the planets seen in the film.
Battlefront 2 ditched the DLC structure of the first game, and we now instead get seasons of free content.
Whatever EA has planned, we’re going to find out all about it next week.
