Fortnite is currently down for maintenance! We’d wager it’s so that Epic Games can add the special Birthday Event items, as well as a few things for this week’s upcoming challenges. This downtime usually lasts for a few hours, so there’s not long left to wait.
When are the Fortnite Servers back up?
Epic Games gave a heads up on Twitter, asking people to check their official status page for updates.
There’s a party and you’re invited! Patch v5.10 releases tomorrow, July 24 and it marks #Fortnite1st birthday.
Take a peek at the Patch Notes once downtime begins at 4 AM ET to learn what goodies are coming.

For reference, last week’s downtime lasted until about 11am UTC (12pm GMT) while the week before it was down about 8am UTC to 10:15am UTC (9am GMT to 11:15am GMT). That means we’d expect the game to be down for between two to four hours before the Fortnite servers are back up.

In other news, we now also know that the Playground LTM will be returning tomorrow, July 25.
