Fortnite Battle Royale kill record broken twice in one night

Hours after one Fortnite team achieved a single match kill record, a second squad managed to surpass it.

If you’re careful and lucky, it’s possible to win a Fortnite Battle Royale match with the lowest number of kills. Yet that doesn’t stop some players from taking aim at single match kill records. Fans saw this in action last night, when a four-player PC squad reached 57 kills in one game, breaking the record of 56 that was established just hours earlier.

The achievement was completed by a squad of professional Fortnite players: FaZe Tfue, FaZe Cloak, Knights ZexRow and Luminosity Gaming’s Kreo. Tfue snapped a screenshot as proof and uploaded it to Twitter for all to see.

Yet according to Dexerto, Tfue’s game was the second time the record was broken that day. FaZe Replays, FaZe SpaceLyon, NickEh30 and TurkeyLips had reached 56 kills mere hours before.

Both records required the “no team kills” ability to avoid getting extra kills from friendly fire. Before Tuesday, the previous record was 54.

Is there a world record for the shortest time holding a world record? All the same, congratulations to both teams.
