New leak suggests doggos are headed to Fortnite

Fortnite players may finally get in-game pets, if this leaked art can be believed.

Fortnite is the most popular game of the moment, and is so successful it can pressure Sony into changing cross-play policies. Yet it’s still missing one thing among the Battle Royale gameplay, damcing, and llamas: puppies. Fortnite is in dire need of puppies.

The PlayStation Store recently slipped out and immediately deleted a promotional image that was quickly spotted by the Fortnite community (via FortniteIntel). If you ignore the Season 6 costumes, and take a closer look at the llama-helmeted character, you’ll notice a dog is riding on his back.

Of course, Epic Games hasn’t shared any details about in-game pets but rumors have circulated for some time now. Will pets be treated as in-game equipment, letting you fetch weapons or attack enemies? Or are they just cosmetic, letting players show off the good little doggos? Will there be kittens or birds as well? Who knows?

Either way, Fortnite’s sixth season begins on September 27, 2018. Expect to find out more soon.
