Red Dead Redemption 2’s release date is fast approaching, and the latest titbit serves to illustrate just how much Rockstar have upped the ante.
As we barrel towards Red Dead Redemption 2’s release date and more details drop, we’re getting more and more hyped about the level of detail that exists in the world, and the latest revelation is the icing on the cake.
According to Red Dead News, if you turn the mini-map off, NPCs will step in to help you navigate your way across the map, referring to routes and landmarks in your conversations with them.
But if you have the mini-map on, the dialogue will be bereft of these useful tips.

Rockstar is pulling out all the stops with the long-awaited sequel, with around 200 different animal species, all of which have unique behaviours.
There’s x-ray weapon targeting and some impressive technological advances have been made in the area of horse gonads, which I think we’re all excited about.
You can take a look at our hands-on with the game if you want to take a peek before it hits PS4 and Xbox One on October 26.
