Battlefield 5 is getting one more update today before the deluxe edition launch

The Battlefield 5 early access period is nearly over, and players who jump in starting later today will do so with a better version of the game.

DICE has revealed that Battlefield 5 is getting a day one update today, in time for the deluxe edition launch. The game has been playable since Friday, of course, with a day zero patch.

Today’s update rolls out on all platforms without any downtime, but you obviously should download it. Though DICE has yet to detail what the patch is changing, we do have launch times and file sizes.

Here’s when it’s going to be live:

  • PC (1.56GB): update goes live at 1am PT, 4am ET, 9am GMT
  • PS4 (350MB): update goes live at 3am PT, 6am ET, 11am GMT
  • Xbox One (530MB): update goes live at 2am PT, 5am ET, 10am GMT

The deluxe edition will start unlocking for players today as well, beginning 3am PT, 6am ET, 11am GMT. Not everyone will be able to play today, of course, but it should be available for owners no later than November 15 at 10pm PT, 1am ET, 5am GMT.

We’ll update this story with patch notes as soon as we have them.

DICE recently announced that so many of Battlefield 5’s small UI frustrations are being fixed.
