A Steam sale supporting War Child UK has kicked off and a portion of proceeds will benefit the charity. 11-11: Memories Retold will also have special DLC available.
The Steam Armistice Sale is live and includes discounts on The Room, ABZU, Democracy 3, Rime, Prison Architect, The Talos Principle, Broken Sword 5, and many more.
A percentage of developer proceeds from each of the sales will go straight to War Child UK as part of the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. The goal is to raise £250,000.
New limited content will also be available for 11-11: Memories Retold and Prison Architect, as well as a Cupid’s Bow for Dick Wilde.
Armistice-themed emblems and skins for World of Tanks will be available Sunday, November 11 between 11:11am CET and 11:30am CET along with a day of premium content using the code 111111.
On November 9, 11-11: Memories Retold will have a specially-created DLC. Through letters, it tells the story of children Jack and Eva who were drawn into the events of World War 1. The DLC is inspired by real life stories from children War Child supports. It will run you £2.99 or the regional equivalent and all proceeds benefit the charity.
Mobile titles such as Lords Mobile, War Wings, March of Empires and Shadowgun Legends will also feature fundraising content.
“War Child’s Armistice is a unique and exciting initiative. Peace is denied to too many children around the world, but millions of gamers can help some of the world’s most vulnerable children affected by war by playing games as part of War Child’s Armistice,” said Carey Mulligan, War Child UK global ambassador.
“It’s such an innovative way to fundraise and very simple too – just buying and playing a game you love can help provide crucial support for innocent victims of war.”
