Fallout 76 might not have any human NPCs, but there’s at least one returning character: Vault Boy. Collectable versions of everyone’s favourite blonde-haired mascot are littered around Appalachia for you to find – not just in notable spots either, but in missable nooks and crannies too. Here’s everywhere we’ve found Bobbleheads in Fallout 76 so far.
Fallout 76 Bobbleheads locations
Bobbleheads in Fallout 76 work a little differently that they did in previous games. In Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4, when you tracked down one of the Bobbleheads it gave you a permanent stat boost to one of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L or key skills, but that would be a little unbalanced in an online game like Fallout 76. So this time, Bobbleheads are consumable items that have powerful effects for a limited time.
This can range from +2 to a S.P.E.C.I.A.L skill for an hour, to 20% buffs to damage. So now rather than squirrelling away a Bobblehead and forgetting about it straight away, it makes sense to save it for when you really need a boost – like an Event Quest or boss fight.
Below are all of the places we’ve come across Bobbleheads so far. We’re actively playing the game at the same time as you, so if you’ve found different ones, let us know in the comments and we’ll add them to the page.
We’ve heard reports of different Bobbleheads appearing the same spot, and even not at all. It looks like – similar to the power armor locations –
- Big Guns: Upstairs to the left in a box in Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Centre
- Intelligence: Upstairs in main building of Greg’s Mine Supply, next to Greg’s Terminal
- Luck: Next to the pilot’s chair in the cockpit of the crashed plane in Horizon’s Rest
- Agility: On top of the billboard lookout on the north side of Widow’s Perch
Other possible Bobblehead locations
As well as the above, we seen reports on Reddit of other possible locations where Bobbleheads can spawn. Here’s a list:
- On the galleys on the roof of Poseidon Energy
- Inside the ruined Ripper Alley raider settlement between the West Tek Research centre and the Emmett Mountain Disposal Site
- On top of the token machines in the south of the Tyler County Fairgrounds
- Inside the spooky pumpkin greenhouse also in the Tyler County Fairgrounds
- In the window of the windmill to the northeast of the of the Isolated Cabin, which is north of the Overseer’s camp you find at the start of the game
- Inside the Landview Lighthouse near Vault 76
- On the second floor of the of the house next to the Landview Lighthouse
- Next to the Tinker Workbench in Sutton
- On the bottom floor of the Vault-Tec Fertilisation Facility

And in other news, we learnt just before launch that Fallout 76 is going to get faction-based PvP, new quests, and – get this – vaults, down the line.
