Assassin’s Creed Odyssey brings back tracking assassination targets in a big way, and one of the most fun expansions in the new Legacy of the First Blade DLC is the extra menu of Cultist targets it opens up for you to hunt down across Greece. Here’s where you can find all of the covert members of the Order of the Ancients in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
As you might expect, this guide comes with a big ol’ spoiler warning for the endings of side quests and the true identities of characters in the DLC.
Where to find every member of the Order of the Ancients in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Legacy of the First Blade
- Phratagoune the Keeper
This is the first clue that you can find in Legacy of the First Blade. You get it from Darius’ Rock Arch hideout, on a little table next to the passageway out. You find Phratagoune the Keeper in northern Makedonia, at the bear den.
- Konon the Fighter
You pick up this clue from The Keeper at the Bear Den when you take her down. You can find Konon the Fighter at Xerxes’ Sacrifice of the Nine to the northwest of Amphipolis, east of where you killed Phratagoune.
- Echion the Watcher
To find this member of the Order of the Ancients, you have to complete the Dead Man Rises side quest. You can find a message on a cart to the east of Rock Arch, which tells you to collect bear skins and take them to the Blacksmith’s Assistant in Amphipolis.
The best time to grab these is while you’re taking care of The Keeper at the bear den. Otherwise, walk around that northern forested area and you should come across five bears pretty quickly.
Once you’ve got the skins, head to Amphipolis and talk to the Assistant.
What is the Blacksmith’s Assistant’s code in Dead Man Rises?
In this conversation, the code is “And we are the order”. With the Order operative none-the-wiser, Echion the Watcher is found in the northern part of Amphipolis, guarded by other covert fighters pretending to be farmers.
- Akantha the Deceiver
To get on the trail of Akantha, you need to steal the ancient clue from the room next to the nation chest in Olynthos Fortress to the southwest of Amphipolis. Once you’re onto her, she’s found in the Leader House at Amphipolis. If you trigger a battle, she runs away, so be ready to Rush Assassinate or snipe her.
- Timosa the Physician
You take out Timosa during the Mysterious Malady main story quest.
- Bubares the Conspirator
Bubares bites the dust during the Revealing the Recruiter main story quest.
- The Huntsman
The big baddie is the easiest to track down, just complete the main story quests of the DLC and you’ll fight him at the end.
Shadow Heritage Order of the Ancients members
- Nestor the Formidable
In Olouros Fort, which is to the south of Scavenger’s Coast, read the note on the desk in the same room as the nation chest.
You can then find Nestor sailing off the southern tip of Kefalonia.
- Augos the All-Seeing
Once you’ve killed Nestor the Formidable, you’ll be able to track Augos.
She’s hiding near the Poseidon statue south of the Scavenger’s Coast.
- Sophos the Broker
You need to find the Ancient Clue for this Order member on a dead body on the deck of shipwreck in Shipwreck Cove. It’s near the three underwater valuables that you can collect as part of the Safe Passage main quest.
You then find the Broker in the Shipyard of Patrai.
- Megakreon
This member of the Order is defeated during the Tactics and Espionage main story quest of the DLC.
- The Tempest
Simply finish off the main storyline of the DLC to take her out.
On the Grapevine side quest guide
It’s not required, but to gain a bit more insight into The Tempest, you can complete the On the Grapevine quest by finding information in the following locations:
On a table outside the main temple in the Teichos of Heracles. It’s easy to find during the “Into the Storm” main Quest
There’s another in the House of the Phoenician on the east side of Boura, where you take the first mission from Kleta
You can find more in a northern outbuilding of the Olouros Fort, which is to the south of Scavenger’s Coast
The final piece is in the Leader house towards the south of Patrai
Bloodline Order of the Ancients members
- The Immortals
You fight this deadly duo right at the start of the Bloodline episode during the “Flight during Fire” quest.
- Dimokrates
You come face-to-face with Dimokrates as part of the Ordering of the Kosmos story quest.
- Amorges
You decide Amorges’ fate during the main storyline of the DLC.
- Gergis the Herald
Should you kill or spare Gerghis the Herald
You can meet Gergis at multiple times during the DLC’s main story. The first time, you can choose to spare him and let him leave. If you do he’ll appear during the next story quest and you’ll fight him there instead – so it doesn’t really matter where you decide to take him on.
If you kill Gergis at your first opportunity, you’ll instead fight three Order Scribes in the Smoke and Fury quest.
- Artazostre the Silence
To find this order member, head to Keadas Cave – which is to the northeast of the main city in Messenia, Aipeia. There’s a pit with a ladder that leads to some corpses. Here you’ll find an Ancient Clue which leads to Artazostre. She’s just to the southeast of the cave.
- Gaspar the Gatekeeper
Gaspar is probably the hardest of any of the Order of the Ancients to track down – it’s a bit like the Cultist Clue that you find on the rocks at Smuggler’s Cove in the main game with the Cult of Kosmos.
To find this Ancient clue, go to the eastern edge of the marsh in the Bay of Hades in Messenia. You’ll find the clue on a dead body on the bank, see screen:
You can then find Gaspar in the Mines of the Great Trench area of Messenia, in “Terror Gorge”:
- Pithias the Architect
To find the clue for Pithias, head to the Pedasos Camp – which is southwest of the main city in Messenia, Aipeia – and interact with the parchment near the large leopard skin:
