Gearbox is reportedly working on a new piece of DLC for Borderlands 2 designed to set up the events of Borderlands 3.
According to a PlayStation Lifestyle report, Gearbox will soon be releasing a DLC aimed at bridging the gap between the events of Borderlands 2 and those of the upcoming Borderlands 3.
The site revealed the add-on will be called Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary, which it notes will be announced and released during E3 week.
Lilith was the Siren class in the original Borderlands, and has since appeared in Borderlands 2, and will play a role in Borderlands 3 as seen in the game’s trailers. No other details about the DLC are known at this time.
Gearbox previously confirmed it’ll be attending E3. In fact, the developer will share more about the endgame in Borderlands 3 at the show, so it certainly has a platform to announce the rumoured DLC.
Borderlands 2 also recently received higher-resolution textures in a free update, so it’s not really surprising that the 2012 game is still being supported.
