If you pre-purchased Half-Life: Alyx, you can now pre-load the game.
Those who are receiving Half-Life: Alyx for free with Valve Index or Vive Cosmos Elite VR can also pre-load from today.
The download size is around 48GB and will compress to 67GB at the end. The files will unlock on March 23 with the game’s release at 10am PT, 1pm ET, 5pm UK (thanks, Neowin).
Set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2, in the game Alyx Vance and her father Eli “mount an early resistance to the Combine’s brutal occupation of Earth.” As Alyx, you will engage in combat, solve puzzles, and explore a world turned derelict thanks to an alien invasion.
It is currently available for pre-order through Steam and 10% off the full price until launch.
Half-Life: Alyx, which is the start of more Half-Life games, was announced in November 2019 for Valve’s Index VR headset, but it is also compatible with other VR devices.
