Modern Warfare battle royale coming March 10, trailer dropping this week – rumour

The launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode is once again rumoured for next week.

It’s been over three weeks since Infinity Ward dropped the first official teaser for Modern Warfare battle royale. As the developer fails to capitalise on initial hype, fans are looking to leakers and dataminers to provide some answers.

The mode, dubbed Warzone, is going to launch on Tuesday, March 10. Today’s tip comes from Twitter user @Okami13, who previously leaked the Modern Warfare 2v2 Gunfight alpha before it was officially announced.

They also suggest that we’d be getting a teaser today, or on Monday. This is the second time we’ve seen March 10 suggested as Warzone’s launch date, following VGC’s report last month.

Likewise, Okami13 also says Modern Warfare battle royale will be free-to-play and have its own separate client – though this likely applies to non-owners of Modern Warfare.

They also suggest it will only support squads (four players), despite earlier leaks showing evidence for solos, duos and trios. “It may have changed. This was the case as of mid-February,” Okami13 added in a follow-up Tweet.

Okami13 sadly didn’t touch on any of the heaps of leaked mechanics about the mode, including loadouts, killstreaks, Plunder or any of the leaked map layouts.

If the trailer is indeed ready, we won’t have to wait too long to get some official information. As always, we’ll keep you updated. For now, you can catch up on everything else leaked in our mega Modern Warfare battle royale story.
