Ubisoft will be giving away Assassin’s Creed 2 on PC via its uPlay service starting April 14.
While the company has yet to make any official announcement for itself, news of the incoming free download arrived on a German-language discounts website and spotted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad.
The offer is apparently global, and downloaders will be able to keep the title forever. The deal also includes discounts on both Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations – which make up the full Ezio Collection.

Ubisoft is giving away games all this month in an effort to encourage social distancing.
“We have put together a month-long series of offers, trials, and discounts to help everyone who is following health authorities’ guidance by staying at home,” the company said upon releasing its first free game of the month, Rayman Legends.
“Whether you need a way to keep active, socialise with friends at a distance, or just stay entertained, we want to help.”
