It looks like we may be closer to some big Xbox Series X news than we thought.
Telstra, a large telecom company in Australia, has advised customers to update their details in anticipation of Xbox Series X pre-orders “opening soon.”
Telstra is Microsoft’s partner in the country for Xbox All Access, a subscription programme that allows customers to own an Xbox console and Live Gold and pay the price in monthly instalments. Those who registered to receive information about Xbox Series X from Telstra got the message today, as seen on Reddit (via Press Start).
“You’ve signed up to receive information about the Xbox Series X. Pre-orders for the Xbox Series X with Xbox All Access will open soon. This offer is exclusive to Telstra customers – so you need a postpaid mobile, mobile broadband or home internet service with us,” the message reads, directing fans to the details page.
Although Microsoft has not so much as hinted at when we can expect Xbox Series X pre-orders to open, head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, recently revealed that next Xbox Series X news is coming in August, likely as part of another event.
Beyond that, August is usually when pre-orders typically open for new consoles, so it’s not a stretch to imagine that prices and launch dates for both consoles would be known before the end of the month.
