It looks like we won’t be waiting that long for Far Cry 6.
The release of Far Cry 6 was recently pushed back to the first half of Ubisoft’s next fiscal year, i.e., sometime between April 2021 and March 2022.
But, it doesn’t look like the new date is that much later than the original February target, because Far Cry 6 will seemingly be released in May.
The Microsoft Store, your number one source of release date leaks, has posted an updated Far Cry 6 listing with May 26 as the game’s release date. Obviously, Ubisoft has yet to announce a solid date for the game, but this one seems too specific not to be correct.
Usually, when release dates leak on the Microsoft Store, they happen right before official news, so it’s possible we’re getting a new look at Far Cry 6 in the near future.
Far Cry 6 is set in the fictional country of Yara, which the development team modelled after Cuba. Actor Giancarlo Esposito, who’s front and centre in the game’s reveal trailer, will play a bigger role in the game compared to previous Far Cry villains.
