The offer, which is exclusive to Sam’s Club in the US, comes with a 128 GB Sandisk Megacard (as recommended by the bright minds at Digital Foundry), plus a grey carrying case and a twelve month family subscription to Nintendo Online (a mandatory addition if you’re looking to play with friends over quarantine), and, of course, the classic red and blue console. In short, if you’re looking to enshrine a Switch in the living room, this is the one to get.
Normally the bundle goes for $399, but thanks to Christmas price cuts it’s down to $349. It’s refreshing to see a Switch deal attached to extra hardware rather than saddled with a game, especially as the Nintendo Store is offering so many cheap digital games this month.
The catch, of course, is that you need to be a member of Sam’s Club in order to get the deal. Standard annual membership costs $45 – meaning the order will still cost you less, though savings will amount to a much less thrilling $5. But if you are a member and you’re on the hunt for a new console, this seems like a no-brainer.
