You’ll be able to check the game out in a few weeks.
People Can Fly and Square Enix’s upcoming shooter Outriders has once again been pushed back.
In a post on Twitter, the team said that the game would be missing its previously-announced February 2021 release date and would instead be launching on April 1. People Can Fly say that they will be using this extra time to ‘fine tune’ the game.
It’s not all bad news though; a free demo for Outriders will be rolling out on February 25 which will give players the chance to check out the first few hours of the game. People will be able to try all four character classes across Outriders’ single-player and co-op modes, with users able to migrate all of this progress into the final game when that launches.
“We believe it’s important that players get to experience a new IP like Outriders before release, so that you can decide for yourselves whether the game is something you wish to pre-order, purchase or play,” the team wrote.
Outriders was announced back at E3 2019 and was originally set to launch in the summer of 2020. However, it was bumped back until the end of the year, before being delayed until February 2, 2021. The title is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
The title also apparently will not be using Denuvo DRM; nor will it feature any microtransactions.
