The new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War patch is not without problems.
Season 2 officially kicked off in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone overnight, one day after the release of the big patch. Unfortunately, as is often the case with big updates, a few annoying problems have popped up.
In this case, a number of players have been reporting significantly worse performance, particularly on consoles, after installing the patch. Some on the next-gen consoles had to turn off ray tracing to get a solid framerate, and even that doesn’t always help.
The good news is that Treyarch is well aware of these reports. In fact, the developer has already pushed out a fix for these problems on PlayStation, and more platforms should follow soon. Treyarch revealed this on Twitter, adding that it’s working to get those out as soon as possible.
Update: The fix for this issue is now live on PlayStation, and planned for release ASAP for other platforms.

The massive Season 2 update, of course, brought new maps, weapons and operators to the game. Then there’s Outbreak, a new Zombies experience on a big scale. Warzone, too, has a new point of interest near the Prison in the form of a crashed ship, which fans think will be how zombies arrive in Warzone.
