Resident Evil Re:Verse Delayed Again, Now Coming in 2022

Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer shooter originally aiming to launch alongside Resident Evil VIllage, has been delayed for a second time. It will now arrive in 2022.

Announced on Twitter (below), Capcom explained that the delay was made "so that the team can continue working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience." After being originally announced for a May 7 release, the game was pushed back to 'Summer 2021'. It's not been an easy ride – even the game's open beta test was suspended due to matchmaking problems.

A follow-up tweet tells players who bought the physical edition of Resident Evil Village – which came with a download code for Re:Verse – to either redeem it now or "keep track" of it, presumably because no replacements will be offered for lost codes once the game (hopefully) eventually arrives next year.

Re:Verse is a six-player PvP deathmatch game that allows players to take on the roles of characters from throughout the Resident Evil series, battling it out in familair locations reworked as arenas.
