Today on IGN The Fix: Esports we look at Optic Chicago's Scump potentially departing from Call of Duty League, FaZe suspending multiple players and ESL partnering with Coinbase. Scump (Optic Chicago) mentioned on a Twitch stream that depending on what Call of Duty 2021 turns out to look like, he might step away from CDL. The new CoD is rumored to take place during WWII, but the biggest thing Scump needs to see before making any drastic decision is actual gameplay. FaZe Clan is again in the news, this time for suspending three players (FaZe Jarvis, FaZe Nikan and FaZe Teeqo) for a cryptocurrency scheme. They attempted to profit from their influence in a pump and dump scheme for an alt coin. In more crypto news, ESL and Coinbase announced a new partnership that will influence a wide array of content and events starting with IEM Cologne.
