We've not got too much longer to wait until Back 4 Blood launches PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 12. It's even coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day. For now, however, it's time to check out the game's Open Beta.
For those looking to take part in the Open Beta, early access is kicking off on August 5, and anyone who preorders the game will be sent a code (see it on Amazon). But, that's not the only way you can get early access, as codes will also be available for anyone checking out the game on Twitch streams. Here's everything you need to know, and how to get access to the Beta.
How to Access the Open Beta
If you want to play the Back 4 Blood Open Beta on August 5 when it kicks off, you'll need to do one of two things. You can either preorder the game or watch 1-hour of a Back 4 Blood Twitch stream when the Open Beta is live.
If you want to be right into the action from the get-go, we suggest preordering the game from Amazon, as the retailer won't charge you until the game ships in October. This means you can always cancel your preorder without charge if you're not a fan of the game after the Beta.

When is the Back 4 Blood Open Beta
Back 4 Blood Beta Early Access will begin on August 5, at 12 PM PDT/ 8 PM BST. Early Access will end on August 9. After this, Back 4 Blood Open Beta will then restart on August 12 at 12 PM PDT, and end on August 16.

It's easy to redeem your Back 4 Blood Open Beta code, here are all the relevant steps you'll need to get access to the Beta as soon as possible.
- Create or sign in with a free Warner Bros. Games Account.
- Select Manage Account from the top menu (top right-hand side)
- Select Account Settings
- You'll now see a 'Redeem a Code' section
- Enter your Back 4 Blood Open Beta Code
- Select your region and platform of choice
- You'll then be provided with a Game Key to use on your chosen platform
Back 4 Blood Twitch Drops
If you're 13 years or older, you can participate in the Back 4 Blood Twitch Drops to get a Beta code. Here are the relevant steps you'll need to take to ensure you get the code.
- Create or sign in with a free Warner Bros. Games Account.
- Connect your Twitch account to your Warner Bros. Games account. When signed in go to “Account Settings” and click “connect” to complete the linking.
- Watch a Twitch streamer playing Back 4 Blood content with Twitch Drops enabled for 60 minutes to earn Early Access to the Open Beta.
- Go to the Twitch Drops homepage to claim your Drop.
- Claim your Early Access Open Beta code for the platform of your choice.
