Fortnite’s Halloween event, Fortnitemares, began this morning and since then players have been struggling to log on.
Players have been met with unprecedented waiting times trying to access the latest update in Fortnite, which includes new Fortnitemares challenges, weapons and skins.
Epic Games is aware of the issue and posted on Twitter about it earlier:
We're aware of an issue causing some players to experience long queue times. We are checking into it and will keep you updated.

There have been the usual kinds of replies, ranging from jokes, insults and pleads to get back in the game:

Make a better update, and fix the bugs that have been in the game for 3 seasons. The servers suck. They are having problems every other day. We waited two months to get the cube to do something and we get a few zombies?! Make some new map changes please also. The one now sucks…

Why would you force people to play this and take out regular gameplay… I've won every game and its not even satisfying or fun to me and I thought I was gonna be upset about flying you're killing the game and all the players who enjoyed a challenge and the rush of winning smh..
